With municipal elections likely to be held in February, political activity has intensified in Bodhan town. Aspirants for the MIM party councillor tickets have begun vigorous efforts to secure nominations, as the election code is expected to come into force by the end of January.
Local residents have appealed to the party leadership to give priority to those who have rendered dedicated service to the party over the years. They stressed that loyal workers who have consistently worked for the party should be given a fair opportunity and justice in the ticket allocation process.
